ROUTE ARTISAN




The crafts of El Salvador are very peculiar depending on where you visit and that is why there is now Route Artisan of El Salvador.

On this route there are 4 places where the people are participating in the contest live, you can find a variety of handicrafts. These four areas are:







1. SUCHITOTO
2. LA PALMA
3.SAN SEBASTIAN
4. ILOBASCO 








1. SUCHITOTO

It is a beautiful city of great architectural beauty that stands out for its colonial style. It has become popular and tourist development in recent years, offering visitors a wide variety of offers of accommodation and food. Its craftsmen are very famous because different ornaments made with seeds, clay, wood, jewelry and others. In addition something that is characterized by its indigo dyeing clothes.




2.LA PALMA 

It is one of the leading craft centers in the country. The economy of the town is based on handicrafts made of wood, which is the way of life of much of the population. So you will find dozens of workshops where handicrafts are made of wood, leather, ceramics, works based on different kinds of seeds, especially copinol and embroidered and painted designs on cotton clothing.



3. SAN SEBASTIAN 

A cute town dedicated to the art of weaving. San Sebastian craftsmanship is unique in El Salvador, can not find anything like it elsewhere and that is why looms work has become a way of life for many who live in this beautiful town.



4. ILOBASCO 

It is one of the most famous craft centers in El Salvador clay pottery. But not just any type of ceramic if not Ilobasco is a producer of ceramics in miniature.
